Epoxy Coatings (Garage Floors)

Years of exposure to salt and moisture can create pockmarks and a cracked surface on garage floors. In most cases, no maintenance has been done on these floors over the years. In most cases, there is no reason to spend valuable financial resources to tear out and re-pour a new concrete floor. Rhino Concrete offers a garage floor epoxy system to re-constitute the flooring surface over even the worst concrete surfaces for a fraction of the price of a tear out and re-pour. Our system is a time tested, three-day, six-step process.

Typical garage floor epoxy systems take three days to complete from start to finish. The heart of our system is our exclusive seamless epoxy basecoat system. It is specially bonded to the underlying concrete and will not lift or delaminate. This material is applied at an average of 20 Mils and fills even the worst holes and cracks. The thickness applied will not require an adjustment to overhead doors, man doors or steps into the house yet is thick enough to provide a completely new wearing surface. Once the base coat epoxy is applied, we broadcast a flake system that fully covers the floor and on the final day we topcoat the floor with a durable UV Stable polyaspartic coating. This protects your floors’ flake from fading from sun exposure. Foot traffic can start within 24 hours of the last application of polyaspartic so the garage can get back to the reason it's there, storing equipment. Wheel traffic from garden trackers or cars can begin after 48hours from the last application of the coating. Epoxy floors require very little maintenance due to their seamless and scratch-resistant qualities. mild soap and water are all that is needed to remove dirt and residue.
